About her practice, Alison shares
“Choosing the right therapist is an important decision and a good fit is necessary to make effective progress. My work is characterized by intuition, compassion, optimism and collaboration. I try to be straightforward, without being harsh, and encouraging without applying any pressure.
I am an interactive therapist and integrate an eclectic psychodynamic approach including relational, cognitive, object relations, and solution-focused therapy. My therapeutic technique is to be active and provide emotional support, insight and self reflection in order to help my clients effectively address personal life challenges. By integrating complementary methodologies and techniques, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With warmth, compassion and understanding, I work with individuals to help them build their self-esteem and confidence in order for them to attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. My caring, concern, commitment and sense of humor inspires my patients to overcome obstacles and live more meaningful lives and have more satisfying relationships."
